Collahuasi provides its employees with benefits as a form of compensation, thereby contributing to their quality of life.
Workers with indefinite contracts enjoy benefits that include:
- Educational scholarships for children, managed through CCAF de Los Andes;
- Severance pay based on years of service (with no upper limit on years or income, starting from the second year);
- Contribution to worker’s pension savings (2% of base wage from the company and 1% from the employee);
- Inflation-indexed base wage (100% of consumer price index);

- Life insurance (24 and 48 SB);
- Medical and dental insurance (100% of premium covered by the company);
- School accident insurance;

- Academic Excellence Scholarship for employees’ children;

Workers with fixed-term contracts also receive benefits:
- Contribution to worker’s pension savings (2% of base wage from the company and 1% from the employee);
- Inflation-indexed base wage (100% of consumer price index);

In addition, the company has a compensation package for supervisors under which it tops up their voluntary pension savings. Under this benefit, employees who pay 1% of their base wage (up to a maximum of 60 unidades de fomento) into a voluntary pension savings account also receive an additional 2% contribution from the company. For site workers who have to take early retirement for health reasons, it also makes a contribution (up to a maximum of 400 unidades de fomento) to complete their pension savings.
