known as C20+, it is an investment that will contribute to the operational continuity and future of the Company for the next two decades, reducing the use of continental water by utilizing desalinated water in its operations, strengthening its sustainable growth with innovation and commitment to the highest standards in safety, integrity, and relationship with the environment.
To this end, work is underway to build a desalination plant that will deliver 1,050 l/s, a water pumping system, and the adaptation of the electrical transmission system, which will allow the resource to be transported through a pipeline from the Company’s Port, located in the Patache sector, to its operation at 4,600 m above sea level in the Tarapacá Region.
Its positive impact on the environment and the Company’s management is based on four principles that seek to properly develop the Project and add value to the business, under the One Team seal, which recognizes the contributions of each member.
Its work culture is based on SAFETY, to ensure that all activities are carried out with the highest standards.
With INTEGRITY, guiding every action taken. With RESPECT for people, communities, and the environment, fostering relationships of trust.
With COMMITMENT to meeting deadlines and objectives to achieve the Project’s goal: bringing desalinated water to the operation.
The effective integration of C20+ processes and meeting deadlines and budget commitments are part of a common goal. To achieve this, work is carried out throughout the pre-commissioning and commissioning stages to ensure responsible and effective delivery to the operation.
The addition of desalinated water will strengthen the Company’s commitment to the sustainable development of the Tarapacá Region and its communities, in addition to positioning Collahuasi nationally and globally.
