Rosario and Ujina Deposits
Mineral extraction is carried out through open-pit mining, focusing on the Rosario and Ujina deposits, located in the commune of Pica, Tarapacá Region, in the far north of Chile, at an average altitude of 4,400 meters above sea level. Our concentrator plant is also located in this area.
The production of copper concentrate is transported as slurry through a system of two pipelines, 7 and 8 inches in diameter respectively, spanning 203 kilometers, to the Collahuasi Maritime Terminal in the Patache area, located 65 kilometers south of Iquique. Here, molybdenum concentrate processes and mineral shipments take place.
To protect this environment, our operation involves sustainable water resource management, biodiversity conservation, and overall environmental care.
